These are my own flipflops. Just happy to step on Hawaiian sand. Hawaii is so beautiful. Need I say I fell in love with Hawaii?

These are the things that are used to hold orchid boughs upright, I think. They remind me of fern heads or fiddle stems. It is amazing how something so cold can also be so graceful.

my second digital camera
was a canon powershot sd200.
I loved that camera. This one was more modern: it had a rechargeable battery. No more buying cases of (expensive!) AA’s like I did for my samsung techwin digimax 360. I also loved its compact size and sleek design.
This camera’s manual helped give me some understanding of the ‘macro’ setting I am so in love with. For the uninitiated, macro mode lets you get really close to a subject and get great closeups. This is the ‘flower’ icon on your camera. I guess because it lets you take great closeups of flowers! And bugs, and cute little pebbles, and anything tiny that you might be interested in.

seats for two

taken with a Samsung Techwin Digimax 360.
location: Waling-Waling Beach Resort, Boracay, Philippines
Keeping the the Valentine spirit, this blog will feature more pictures of things that come in “couples” . This is the view from inside our bedroom of Waling-Waling Beach Resort in Boracay. It just rained and it made for a really dramatic picture even though the camera here is a regular point-and-shoot digicam.
frog in the fountain

location: Napa, California
can you see the little frog statue in the picture? i like how the camera captured the water like it’s stopped in time.

Holy Smokes!
I can’t believe it’s been a week since I last posted pictures here. Nope, I haven’t stopped taking pictures. Just haven’t processed and uploaded them.
Tomorrow, we’re off to San Francisco and hopefully get some some really beautiful pictures from the City by the Bay. Oh, it’s no longer tomorrow. I should say in about 6 hours. Keep posted!
